Beginning his music training it Springfield, Massachusetts at the age of five, Tony MacAlpine spent the
next twelve years studying piano at the Springfield Conservatory of Music. During the latter part of these years, Tony's level of guitar ability began to equal that of his piano skills. Although many guitarists have ventured into the realm of neoclassical fusion, very few, if any, possess the musicality of Tony MacAlpine. One listen to his debut solo album, "Edge Of Insanity" (кстати, лично мой любимый у него альбом) with bassist Billi Sheehan and drummer Steve Smith, should leave even the hardest of music critics in awe of Tony's outstanding instrumental prowess. Successive albums, "Project-Driver", the all-instrumental "Maximum Security", and "Eyes of the World", the debut album of Tony's vocal group, have further established Tony as one of the premier guitarists of our time.
